On June 11, the National Association for the Advancement of
Orthotics & Prosthetics (NAAOP) issued a Medicare-policy action
alert that urged all prosthetists and orthotists to call their
congresspersons to request that they “work to exempt orthotics and
prosthetics from any cut to the Medicare fee schedules to help pay
for a delay to DME [durable medical equipment] competitive
