Michael Markmiller
OrthoCare Innovations, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, has named Michael Markmiller as its director of engineering.
Markmiller has more than 13 years of experience in the aerospace industry as a systems engineer, according to OrthoCare. He served in senior engineering capacities in southern California with Hughes Electronics, Boeing, and most recently, with Raytheon.
“We are delighted that Michael is joining OrthoCare in our Oklahoma City headquarters during this period of explosive growth,” said Doug McCormack, OrthoCare’s CEO. “Michael’s experience in managing technical teams will be invaluable as we focus on transitioning technologies from our research pipeline into production and clinical application.”
“I am excited to be joining OrthoCare Innovations and applying my skills to the orthotic and prosthetic field,” Markmiller said. “I have been interested in prosthetic design and rehabilitation applications for many years, and OrthoCare is providing me with a tremendous opportunity…to pursue this interest…”
Markmiller earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge.
