The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced that it will hold a series of eight Special Open Door Forum bidders’ conference calls about the round-one rebid of the Medicare durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, and supplies (DMEPOS) competitive-bidding program.
The first call will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2009, from 2-3:00 ET. It is intended to provide an overview of what to expect during the bidder-education period and provide suppliers with a step-by-step explanation of the program registration process. In addition, CMS will identify common registration issues from the original round one of the DMEPOS competitive bidding program and discuss refinements to the bidding system.
