MD Orthotic & Prosthetic Laboratory, better known as MD LABS, headquartered in Brookfield, Illinois, is celebrating 25 years of operations and 25 years of maintaining ABC accreditation, according to Mark F. Devens, CPO, president.
Starting in 1985 with one location, MD LABS now has seven locations in Chicago and suburbs, as well as one location in Northwest Indiana. MD LABS, which maintains a 6,000-square foot CAD/CAM fabrication and patient-care facility at its Brookfield office, also trains O&P residents, many of whom have gone on to manage or open their own facilities.
Born and raised in Chicago, Deven graduated in 1982 from the University of Washington, Seattle, orthotics and prosthetics degree program and has been at the helm of MD LABS since its inception.
