Myomo, Cambridge, Massachusetts, announced that Thomas F. Kirk, PhD, has been elected to its board of directors; he has been serving on the company’s advisory board for the past several years.
Kirk obtained a mechanical engineering degree from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, earned his doctorate at the University of Pittsburgh, and served in operational and financial management roles at a number of companies during his career. He currently is the CEO of American Surgical Professionals, headquartered in Houston, Texas. Prior to that, he was CEO of Hanger, Austin, Texas, for five years, and COO for six years. Over the last 15 years, Kirk has also held numerous leadership positions in the American Orthotics & Prosthetics Association (AOPA).
