Angela “Angie” Gay Daub Bergstrom, a former certified pedorthist, passed away on February 10 in Mount Morris, Illinois, at the age of 52. She had battled metastatic breast cancer for 11 years.
According to an obituary on SaukValley.com, Bergstrom earned her certificate in pedorthics while working in Boulder, Colorado, An avid skier, she volunteered with an adaptive ski program for people with disabilities and prosthesis users in Colorado. She later moved to Rochester, New York, to open a branch of an O&P company, before returning to her home state of Illinois in 1998. Most recently, she was employed by Rockford Orthopedic Associates (now known as OrthoIllinois), Illinois. Bergstrom is survived by her twin daughters, Isabelle and Mallory Bergstrom of Oregon; her parents; and extended family.
