Good Morning,
I am a master’s student enrolled at the University of Pittsburgh and I am conducting a short 5-minute survey to gauge professional opinion. If you are willing to take this short survey you will be ask questions about how often you work with pediatrics and patient ages, instances of device rejection and reasoning, and your professional opinions on 3D printing in P&O. No other personal information is required nor requested.
The purpose of this voluntary research study is to determine whether pediatric upper limb amputees may benefit from 3D Printed prosthesis to reduce instances of device rejection. 3D-Printed devices are highly customizable, light weight, and easy to fabricate. The thought is that for one’s initial prosthesis, a 3D Printed socket may help a child adjust better to wearing their device.
This is an entirely anonymous questionnaire, and so your responses are confidential, and results will be kept under lock and key. This anonymized data may be shared with other researchers in the future. Your participation is voluntary, and you may withdraw from the survey at any time.
