Has anyone else been getting overpayment demand letters from Medicare
without any kind of audit?
These Performant letters just say this is based on a post-payment
automated review that has determined we should not have been paid for a
service and generally give about 10 days to remit payment. No audit of
any kind.
I thought Medicare had to audit a claim before deciding there has been
an overpayment?
