Modern thigh lacer options

Mok Family

Hi list,

We have a client who is keen to go back to wearing a thigh-lacer. As he has
grown older, his gait has deteriorated, and he is aware of the limitations
of his current set-up (locking liner, built-up pelite liner, PTS-style
trimlines for stability). He has a very short residuum (12cm from MPT to
end).

Please let me know if you have had success (or otherwise) with using
NON-traditional fabrication and materials in thigh lacers. I am
particularly interested in alternatives to moulded leather upper sections,
and the use of polycentric knee joints or other orthotic options. He
enjoys camping and water activities, so suitability for use in water is a
plus.

Thanks in advance,
Catherine Mok
