I have a patient with Elhers Danlos syndrome who has spoken at length with a French medical team who recommended proprioceptive orthotics for her. Seems that proprioceptive orthotics are more widely used in Europe. Specifically, in France, there is an orthotics company that is willing to take scans or casts from me (an orthotist in the US), fabricate the orthotics and then ship them back to me for fitting/delivery, etc. The only problem is a language barrier.
We are looking for an orthotist who speaks French who would be willing to contact a point person at the French company via phone, zoom, etc and ask a few questions for us. We have already tried to send an email using Google translate but they specifically requested we call for more information by speaking with one of their clinicians, none of whom are fluent in English apparently.
I’d imagine this would take no longer than 30-40 minutes of your time.
