Working with a young man who had a traumatic BKA & is left with a long residual limb with circumferential skin grafts from mid-tibia to ~ 4″ superior to his patella. Â Surprisingly good knee ROM. Â Wondering… which is your gel liner of choice? Â May need to be custom because when seem last, the ‘normal’ tissues distally were significantly larger circumferentially than the decimated subQ proximally…post-op volume reduction is much slower- as if grafts are constrictive.
Leaning towards elevated vacuum suspn as that has worked extremely well for a past individuals with grafts (No where near as extensive, though). As always, your thoughts are greatly appreciated.
