Hello,
A new patient came to see me that has a stance control knee brace utilizing the Fillauer SPL2 joint. She is looking for something lighter weight to reduce migration, and perhaps lower profile. She has 3/5 quad weakness due to Hx of tumor resection, otherwise fairly strong. She can ambulate without the brace, but outside of home she has fear of knee buckling. We discussed that a stance control KAFO allows for more componentry options but she is not open to adding a footplate at this time. Looking for some knee brace ideas that could be beneficial to her.
