Does anyone in Florida or Region C have a problem with being inundated with requests from Humana for follow up medical records? We are getting an overwhelming amount of requests for medical records; it’s nearly every patient we’ve seen back in 2017. We have asked for their policy on the amount of records that can be requested and the time frame we have to respond. We can get no response from anyone after many phone calls. They’ve also sent requests for repayments due to lack of information that is obviously on paperwork we do send to them. Our billing person is taking valuable time away in fighting and phone calls with these people plus getting copies sent over to them. If anyone can provide insight into how they handled this I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you very much, Paula Martinek, LPO, Coastal Orthopedics.
