heterotopic ossification transfemoral suggestions

I am going to be seeing a patient who the doctor has told me has significant HO distally. He has been an amputee for 4-5 years and has tried multiple systems and has had at least one revision surgery. His limb is approximately 2/3 length. He is around 220 lb. (50 years old).  I am seeking opinions of possible solutions prior to my initial evaluation of him. Thank you.
