First, thank you to everyone for the fantastic work in DC about the
proposed LCD changes!
My question is about hospitals and also rehab facilities/snf having
preferred provider contracts with an O and P facility. My understanding
is that these are fine but they cannot be “exclusive” since patients have
the right to choose. Exclusive contracts are for hospitals for inpatient
only correct? Outpatient facilities can or cannot have exclusive provider
agreements?
We have a facility asking us about this topic and we want to give correct
information
Does anyone have a sample preferred provider agreement?
