As we all know, Oct 1 Medicare is beginning ICD 10. We have been working to organize and have our plan in place for that day.
One question we have is if a patient is seen in Sept. and the Detailed Written Order is dated and signed with a ICD9 Dx but is delivered after Oct. 1, do we have to replace the DWO with the updated ICD10 Dx before billing the claim? We are aware we have to have the Dx changed for the Rx, but what about the Detailed Written Order? We have not seen any information on this…..have you?
