I am seeking additional information regarding the make & model number
information requirement on the POD and am specifically reacting the most
recent Ossur R&R email stating: New requirements for Proof of Delivery are
for the items to be identified by make, model number and serial number if
possible. Simply listing an L code and the narrative description of the
product is not sufficient.
Can someone please direct me to the CMS documentation that supports the fact
that our narrative Lcode descriptions are no longer sufficient? The links
provided within that email did not help me. I assume this is something
newly released that I did not see. If so, can someone forward to me? I
monitor jurisdiction A and C as I have offices in both regions. I received
nothing about this from CMS in either of those regions.
