Development Tax Credit: Gaining Tax Savings from Your Innovations
The course will cover the basic overview of the research
& development federal income tax credit including the history of the
credit, qualifying activities, and qualifying expenditures. Also included will
be a brief review of the methods of computing the credit, hurdles to capturing
the information to claim the credit, and opportunities to claim the credit on
amended returns. Lastly, there will be a review of the Virginia Research and
Development Expenses Tax Credit.
