Hi all I was wondering what the HIPPA protocol, if there is one, is for the use of smartphones. Often we use ours to take pictures of patients and videos, sometimes of insurance cards if we are at the patient’s home. Usually I email the pictures to the office and then delete them from the phone. It’s also password protected but is there anything else we should do like get written permission to take the videos?
