I am posting the responses I received regarding my post about custom foot
orthotic manufacturing companies.
I was surprised at the number of response.
I want to thank all who responded.
There is a c-fab in PA. Joe Vincent used to work for me. He’s a one man
shop, very reliable and affordable. He does all my orthotic work and I know
he does lots and lots of foot orthotics for other P and O companies. I do
not do f/o so I don’t know his prices but I see plenty of foot molds in his
lab.

He has a website.
Good luck

I do a lot and make them in house. I have used levy rappel in NJ with great
success. The cost about $110 a pair, but have great craftsmanship and they
work. Never had any patient complaints. Happy patients make life much
easier. Hope all is well.

Your information was past on to me, I understand you are looking for a lab
to do custom orthoses. I work for Ucointernational just outside of Chicago.
We have a full lab, still make orthotic’s the old world way. We do
everything by hand. Use no blanks hand glue the materials do the
modifications to the cast. If we are what you are looking for please feel
free to call me
Try Mark Kirshner at Foot Balance Labs in Tenessee. I can’t recall the
phone number but he is very good, reasonable and easy to deal with.

Honestly, I will not trade them for anything else. Of course, should you be
referring to diabetic inserts. For functionals, I use Proflex ones made by
our inhouse fab in Sacramento. Had 100% success with them.
Dave,
Saw your post.
I am a pedorthist who owns a central fab in South dakota. We do work for
some O & P and podiatry, chiropractic and ortho.
Our quality of work is second to none. Because we are also O & P we build
all our custom foot orthotics from plaster casts and foam boxes.
Turnaround time is 7-10 days. And everything is made off diagnosis not
cookie cutter fabrication.
Check out my website and if interested shoot me a call.
Thanks
Nick

Performance Orthotics in Kingwood, Texas is the best I’ve seen. NOT the
cookie cutter plastic shells or pre-fabricated Plastazote bi-lams molded to
the cast you send in.
Each FO is custom made from the mold you send. Finish work is spot on with
only a slight trimming of the toes needed if you forget to send them a
tracing of the insole or shoe size.
Tell them Stoney recommended you.

Hersco does a great job. They also do shoes and CROW boots that come out
very well.
Marathon Orthotics out of Minnesota has been very reliable and reasonably
priced. Rick Anderson runs the shop and is always willing to speak directly
to his customers. I highly recommend them.

We have had good luck with a facility called Thomas Orthotic and Prosthetic
Central Fabrication Inc.
They do a good job with AFOs and prosthetic fabrication also. They are very
reasonably priced with a good turn around time. Phone number is 612-730-1222
and email is [email protected].
