Hello,
Over the past couple of years we have been bombed with 4 large audits (All 4
C-Legs) all from 2009. We just received notice that we have been hit again
on 2 of these claims just this week. So far, over $110,000 has been
recouped by Medicare. Now we learn that they have started taking more money
from us this week. This time I am afraid it is a death sentence to our very
small business. All the prior claims are sitting at the ALJ level with no
decision in sight.
My question is how do I end my misery without having to pay these &*^*%%(&*)
back? If I file bankruptcy, which is what is probably going to have to
happen, does this make them call off the dogs?
We had no idea there was anything else out there and then they just start
taking money back. They have let these 2 claims sit as we fought the other
claims for these patient’s over the past 2 years. They have racked up over
$4,000 in additional interest. We are devastated to say the least.
