For those of you who have responded, thank you. I need to clarify
something based on the responses as I failed to paint a clear picture.
BCBS reduced their payments for all of their insurance products including
TennCare, which is our state Medicaid program. And, because they control
TennCare, this is a hard hit for some practices. We cannot simply stop
taking BCBS or go out of network.
I’m relatively new to Tennessee and its politics and I understand that our
governor Bill Haslam will not work in our favor. Our livelihoods depend on
us not taking this lying down but standing together. Right now, I am in
learning mode to understand what we can do, which avenues to take and what
language to use for an effective battle.
I only ask that when you respond, be rational and constructive by how it
will affect you and your business. Can your business survive another cut?
