Reminder: NCOPTA Spring Meeting

The Spring meeting for the North Carolina Orthotics and Prosthetics Trade Association is next Thursday April 17. We’ve been approved for 6.75 CEUs for the meeting.

If you have not yet registered you can do so by sending an email to [email protected] with the facility name and the names of employees planning to attend. Any employees of NCOPTA member facilities may attend this meeting for free. All others must pay $75 per person. 9:00 – Noon: Zita Upchurch presents Medicare BootCamp
This session includes information on Medicare requirements for documentation,
billing, claims denials.

Noon – 1:00: Lunch (included with registration)
NCOPTA will hold it’s board meeting during lunch.

1:15 – 5:00: Zita Upchurch: Medicare Overview for the O&P Administrative Staff
This session will focus more on the administrative

1:15 – 5:00: Breakout: NCOPTA Policy and Issue Overview
The session will include detailed discussion about the legislative issues facing the O&P profession. We will review current bills and proposed legislation. A formal vote will be held for president elect.
The current nominee is Clay Claiborne. Additional nominees should be emailed to
[email protected].
Note: we have requested someone from Senator Burr and Senator Hagan’s
offices to attend.

5:30 – 6:30: Young O&P Professionals Cocktail Hour
This is a networking opportunity for the professionals that make up the future of O&P, but we’re not checking IDs. 😉 Everyone is invited.
