Nancy here again! We actually got the “AUTHORIZATION” this morning for our Bilateral BKA K3 patient from United Healthcare. I demanded to speak to a supervisor on Friday and asked her to please resend the Consultation Report from the Physiatrist back to the Medical Director and be sureeeeeeeeeee he has read this, prior to his determination to deny the auth. I told her if this is denied after reading these notes, and the written order from the doctor, there is going to be a serious problem.
Today, I received the authorization. I’m fighting constantly for our patients. It’s crazy!
