Synopsis:
MY PAIN IS WORSE THAN YOUR PAIN, based on the short story by TC Boyle, is about
small rural community of full-timers who fight boredom, isolation, injury,
ate and bad luck all in an attempt to destroy the pain. One of the lead
haracters is an above the elbow amputee. Here is his character description:
FRANK JR. is in his early 20’s. He is his Frank’s son from a previous marriage
nd is Lily’s stepson. He is missing his right arm at the shoulder. The cause
as self-inflicted and a result of throwing fireworks into a bear den at the zoo
hen he was in high school. This was the main cause of his parents divorce.
rank Jr. is on state disability and maintains a bedroom with his mother and at
rank and Lily’s. Since his fathers death he has stayed mostly with Lily.
