In my office, I’ve ran into a problem with Duraflex (by Guard Industries)
and haven’t found a solution yet.
In alot of our pediatric LE bracing for CP/SB kids, we use a 2-stage design
with inner boots for easier don/doffing. We made 99% of the inner boots
from Duraflex, although, Guard has changed their ‘recipe’ for the plastic
and it changed, and it is not near as a quality of plastic as what it had
been previously. It’s not as stiff and it’s very hard to vac.
So,that being said, is anyone else having this problem, and does anyone have
a comparable plastic to Duraflex to use for inner boots? I’ve tried
Orfitrans, but the smallest thickness they have is 4.7mm.
Thanks in advance!
