I have seen an interesting website and getting emails from directamputeesupply.com. It is basically a website that sells socks,?sheaths, patient care items directly to the patient. I asked them if you need a prescription for their supplies and their answer is as follows:

“No prescription needed if you are purchasing supplies for yourself and you know the sizes you require.? If you get reimbursed from your insurance company for prosthetic items, you’ll receive a receipt for items purchased.”
I would like to hear your input on this and will post it. I am not as concerned specifically about what items that are available, but what items may become available from online companies. Where might this take us in the future?
