Two different patients
Patient 1: First time user BK, Initially was given cushion liner with
Suction and Sleeve. It worked fine for a day, and patient had rashes on
his thigh on second day, which was allergic reaction on thigh area due to
Sleeve. Also patient did not like the sleeve for another reason , since it
makes thigh area look bulky.
But did not get any problem from cushion liner.
I offered him pin suspension. Used the prosthesis for a month, came back
saying that it takes few attempts to align the pin, before it locks well.
Frustrates him.
Any suggestions for alternate suspensions apart from , Sleeve and pin
suspension?
Patient 2- First time user BK , has 2 inches redundant distal tissue, Used
cushion liner with sleeve suspension. Started getting anterior distal
tibial sores. since the redundant tissue shifts posterior while donning the
liner. Any suggestions?
