Non covered elastic braces-reply

Paula Martinek

Hi thanks to all who have replied. From what people told me this is something that is applying to all regions. At any rate it affects regions A,B,and D. You can see the article on oandp.com. Click on the billing section, and the article is there. They have a list of the non-covered codes, as of April, which sound like anything that is straight elastic with no joints is going to be non-covered. They say these items do not meet the criteria of a brace. Here is the article:http://www.oandp.com/articles/NEWS_2009-01-29_01.asp. Thanks again. Paula Martinek, LPO
