I think the time has come for all for the spineless apathetic Orthotists &
Prosthetists who do nothing except read and complain.
We have been trained to teach patients to ambulate, instruct patients on
proper donning & doffing (Remember having to learn all the gait cycle stuff).
Since it is part of our formal education, it is within our scope of practice.
Start organizing to offer all of your patients gait training with there O&P
devices. We are well within our rights to do this, if you don’t know the
billing code get it from an EOB from your patient.
STOP COMPROMISING 7 ENLIST YOUR PATIENTS IN THIS BATTLE, THEY TRUST YOU!
