heel height in AFOs

Leigh Pipkin

As students in the Georgia Tech MSPO program, we are
working on a project investigating the effects of
accommodating for shoe heel height when making AFOs.
We are wondering:
1. How many orthotists accommodate for shoe heel
height in AFO fabrications?
2. If so, what method is used? What height?
3. If anyone has any knowledge of sources that
mention such things.
