patella stabilizing knee orthoses

Hello,

Which patella stabilizing knee orthoses do you like the best or think works the best?

I have a patient (my brother) who has had lateral subluxation problems for a long time and has used numerous types of orthoses for this. While wearing one, he dislocated it again recently. He has felt that the one with the removable patella support (palumbo I think) has been the best in the past. I have had good feedback from other patients on the Shields brace from Hely-Webber. It seemed like Bauerfiend had a hinged brace that had a good looking silicone support built in, is it any good?

Any thoughts appreciated.
