I just wanted to pass along a source I found for recalibrating PMT halo
torque wrenches. PMT charges $75 to perform this service. No complaints there but
Deerfield Calibration Service has provided a nice professional certificate that
shows the before and after measurements of the instrument and the tolerances.
I feel this is helpful for our Quality Assurance program. I found that even
brand new wrenches are not accurate at the high end of the scale, I’d much
rather have a wrench that I know is “right on” at the 8 inch pound point than the
higher torque values they are also used for. We calibrate ours every 6 months.
They charge $50 per wrench. If anyone would like a copy of the certificate
