I have received many inquiries to share the responses to the reimbursement issue on custom molded breast prostheses. Unfortunately I don’t have any responses as of yet to share with you.
The grapevine reports are: No on Medicare; Yes on some of the Blues; Yes on companies i.e. Walmart and other privately funded sources; Maybe on Tri-Care (military) and some other area specific providers; but nothing definitive, and dollar amounts are unknown.
Any reps out there with some verifiable answers? Much appreciated!
