SLIPPERS/SHOES FOR PATIENT WITH ELEPHANTIASIS

Warren Mays

I have a patient with elephantiasis who cannot wear normal shoes given = that her ankle circumference is somewhere in the neighborhood of 23-24 = inches and falls almost all the way to the floor. I am NOT going to make = her custom shoes: That would be a disaster before it even begins. She = has successfully worn slippers in the past, but needs something with a = little arch support. Does anyone know of an orthopedic slipper that = stays low around the ankle and heel? Thank You!!!!
