recycling components

Coastal Prosthetics & Orthotics, LLC

I am looking for guidance and suggestions regarding the recycling of components from donated devices. I often get call from family members who want to donate a device from a loved one who is now deceased. Can I utilize these components for work I donate for charity cases? It is not my intent to ever utilize these components on devices that are billed or paid for by insurers or patients. What about liability secondary to
component failure? I would appreciate any guidance or personal
experiences Thanks in advance.
