I’ve searched the archives of this listserve, and found a posting regarding
this type of prosthesis from Joan Cestaro, CP. It sounds as though I’ve
been presented with a similar case, and I’m looking for ideas. I’m
wondering if she ever fit the patient or has pictures from her original
posting. I realize it’s from 2001.
The patient I’m working with would like to go back to work as a butcher. I
was looking for options for a job specific type prosthesis. This would be
for his previously dominent hand, and if anyone has ideas it would be
greatly appreciated. ROM appear to be normal and the wrist and elbow
joints, and the patient is otherwise healthy.
