AOPA ALERT – CMS has just released the new HCPCS codes and code changes
for 2003. =20

Unlike past years where only a small number of changes were made,
January 1, 2003 will see 42 new codes, 33 deleted codes and 9 code
changes. While these involve both orthotics and prosthetics, the
majority of the changes deal with spinal orthotics. The 2003 fee
schedules have not yet been released.

AOPA will be putting the 2003 new codes on our Web site, www.aopanet.org
working with CMS to obtain more information on the new, changed and
deleted codes – including crosswalks of the deleted codes.
