COVER LETTER
I am including this cover letter with my resume to give a brief history of myself and my future goals. My scout leader introduced me to this field when I was 15 years old. He has had a great influence on me ever since. Following high school, I moved to Spokane Washington and attended school at S.F.C.C.’s Prosthetics and Orthotics Technical program. After graduation, I decided to start working towards my Bachelors Degree and spent the next two and half years in school. I then accepted a job at Lethbridge Orthoticts with my old scout leader where I gained experience to strengthen my application for B.C.I.T. In Canada, we only have two school that teach Prosthetics and Orthotics and B.C.I.T. is one of them. Their department only accepts 10 canadian student every two years for the program. I was chosen as one of them and began my studies in 2000. I am now looking to graduate in May 2002. Currently, I am seeking to find a facility where I can begin preparing for certification. I have been in this industry for the past six years, and feel that I would be an asset to any practice. Hard work and attention to details are values that I hold high. My future plans include working with a national disabled sports team. I also have a strong interest in research and development. Currently, I am working on developing a prototype and learning about marketing skills. I am also working on a term paper in researching and developing a swimming leg. My goals are to continue developing my ideas and finding new applications. My hobbies include snowboarding and mountain biking. I also pursue many other outdoor sports. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at [email protected]., or by phone at either of the following numbers (604) 298-5212, or (604) 612-5575. Thank you again for your time in considering my application.RESUME
