What do thirteen thousand Florida licensed Barbers and 400 Florida licensed O&P’s have in common? It looks like their both getting a license fee increase or a one time assessment.
The Barbers are being charged about $100.00. Who knows how high the O&P
Board will go. With only about 400 various licensees to grub from and with
a $300,000.00 (if I’m wrong on the number, please correct) deficit, the grub
amount could go quite high. I am sure some fitter assistant making $10
bucks an hour can afford another thousand.
The onetime assessment or increase in fees is on the agenda for the Orlando, April 12th Florida O&P Board meeting. Be there or be prepared to write a check.
