President Bharrat Jagedo and First Lady Uma Jagedo of Guyana attended
the Ptolemy Reid Rehabilitation this past weekend,
June 30, to present awards and recognition to the Barr Foundation and
their Hope Donor Club Members in a amputee assistance effort that was
initiated last December.
The United States Manufacturing Company, Fillauer, Silipos and other
donor club members, acknowledged at www.oandp.com/barr were instrumental
in completing a highly successful amputee prosthetic rehabilitation
pilot program for 12 amputees in this developing country. All 12
recipients of the effort were presented to a 200 plus audience walking
on their new legs. They received a very emotional standing ovation.

Press kits will be send out to those O&P magazines and publications that
request them from me for republication.
Our humanitarian assistance efforts would not be possible without the
generosity of the Where Hope Meets Help donors.
Special thanks goes to USMC for their donation of 12 complete
endoskeleton b/k systems and Fillauer for substantial donations of
supplies and materials and Ohio Willow Wood.
