Hello To All,
Thanks for the terrific response! I have included the information that
was sent to me (edited) for anyone else who is interested. This list
has been a tremendous resource!
Sincerely,

I have had very good success with these types of boots for diabetic
patients
with ulcers. It is basically a total contact walking boot.
If you want a company to fabricate one, contact Tony at Freedom
Fabrication.
He does a very nice job. Phone number 800-304-FREE

I’m not sure about the IRM but the CROW walker or neuropathic walker is
an
AFO that gives circumferential pressure similar to a PTB (many of the
physicians at UWHC refer to it as a PTB which causes confusion – it has
no
patellar tendon bar). The CROW is usually very well padded with 3/8″ to
1/2″ of soft foam and a separate plastizote or similar FO. The anterior
shell covers the entire anterior of the leg and foot to the toes. The
sole
has a rocker bottom and you need to check to contralateral shoe for a
possible compensatory lift.
I’ve been looking for an alternative lining for the PTB to Aliplast or
plastizote if anyone has ideas. Something a bit firmer that doesn’t
bottom
out.
