I have been asked to place this request for ” papers” on the
OANDP-Lists server.
A call for papers for the Fourth Australian Conference on Technology
for People with Disabilities. This is being held in Sydney from
September 28 – 30. This conference is organised biennially by ARATA,
the Australian Rehabilitation and Assistive Technology Association. .
Its memberships includes professionals, consumers and carers
interested in rehabilitation. Obviously this covers a large field.
ARATA has special interest groups, SIG’s, in many area’s with one on
Prosthetics, Orthotics and F.E.S.. In previous years the input from
health professionals in the P&O field has been limited. I would like
to see an increase in the P&O input in ARATA, as I believe there are
missed opportunities for P&O’s in other area’s of rehabilitation. It
is also a good forum to let other HealthCare workers and consumers
know what P&O’s have to offer. If you are intrested you can contact
