Helmets

russell delarosa

I have been fitting custom molded helmets since I started working for

the University since 1992 and have had excellent results with the outcome

of the helmet therapy. The materials that we use to make the helmets is

3/16″ aliplast liner with 3/16″ polyethylene shell. The helmet is

completely enclosed except for the obvious cut outs for the ears, eyes,

nose and mouth. The reason I am posting this on line is that I would like

to know what other facilities and or Practioners are doing and would like

to exchange fabrication techniques to attain a more “advanced” model for

the helmets ( the method we use here has been the same since the early

70’s).
