Dear Marty
In “Orthotics in Rehabilitation: Splinting the Hand and Body” (1998) by
McKee and Morgan, there are directions for fabricating a helmet out of
Plastazote that is molded directly to the client’s head, or a suitable
model. Included are instructions for adding reinforcement out of
low-temperature thermoplastic. Is this the type of device you are
interested in? The book is available through the publisher’s website at
www.fadavis.com for $29.95 US or by calling 800-323-3555.
