Re: Patello-femoral syndrome

Dear Richard

I have had good success with infra-patellar straps. They don’t interfere with knee

motion. They seem to prevent the compression between the patellar cartilage and

the femur, thereby relieving pain. If the patello-femoral syndrome can be attributed

to poor tracking of the patella due to excessive subtalar pronation, a custom foot

orthosis has proven effective for a number of my clients.
