Dear List members:
Our office was contacted recently to see if we would accept donation of new,
perfectly good sets of shoes; left shoe size 7 and right shoe size 9. The
gentleman was born with club feet and has ended up with feet of two
different sizes. He has dealt with this by purchasing two different sets of
shoes (one to match each foot). This leaves him with one new, unused set
every time he buys new shoes.
I recently saw a television program (on one of the news format shows , like
60 min) that ran a story on an organization (I believe it was US based) that
helped people with this exact problem. They shipped out and received many
pairs of shoes per year for people with problems of this nature.
Does anyone have any information on any groups set up to help out people in
this situation?
