Here’s an interesting arch support that you might find useful for patients who
can’t afford (or can’t tolerate) prescription orthotics. The retail price
($19.95) is comparable to off-the-shelf generic insoles, but these have
arch/metatarsal support, a full heel cup, and come in all shoe sizes. I
understand that the wholesale price (to medical practitioners) is only
$10/pair.

I tried a pair for myself, and they’re very comfortable. They appear to be
similar in effectiveness to my prescription orthotics.
