Looking for qualified orthotist who is interested in exchanging jobs for
up to 12 months. Exchange can also include accommodation.
Our centre, the Ballarat Health Services consist of a 250 bed acute
hospital, 20 bed rehabilitation unit and 700 bed nursing home, mainly off
site. It serves a large region within the State of Victoria.
Our department provides a prosthetic and orthotic service. We employ 5
prosthetist/orthotists, all graduated from Latrobe University, Melbourne
and 3 technical staff. It is a moderne facility.
The orthotist position is a senior position and duties include extensive
varied clinical work, some technical work, service improvement and
administrative activities.
Ballarat is a city of approximately 80,000 population, 100 km west of
Melbourne.
