I am Brandon Dean Thompson, a 17 year old left above elbow amputee. My
prosthetist has just changed my terminal from a Dorrance hook to a CAPP
terminal. I have had the CAPP terminal about a month now, and I am still
getting adjusted to it. I am attending sessions with an OT to learn how to
better use the CAPP terminal. I would appreciate if any of the list members
could give me some reading suggestions to read about the CAPP terminal.
My shoulder movements are the same as when I used the Dorrance hook but I am
having some difficulty with positioning the CAPP properly to do everyday
tasks. I have realized that the CAPP provides me with a strong grip, but I did
sacrifice some dexterity in exchange. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!
